    For Sale ads MUST include:
    • Asking price
    • Location
    • A Basic Description
    • Clear statement whether you are the owner or non-owner (posting for friend, relative, or acquaintance)
    • Don't forget to select: FOR SALE, WANTED or FREE in the Title block.
    All ads should also include ALL the following:
    • Pertinent maintenance and condition information
    • Exterior picture or pictures
    • Interior picture or pictures (boats)
    For maximum impact & exposure, it is suggested the Ad Title include: Year, Manufacturer, Model, Length, Price, and Location or at the very top of the ad body. When your item has sold or the ad is no longer relevant: Please post a Reply to the ad that the item is SOLD or click "Report Post" on post 1 of the thread to ask a moderator to archive the ad.     Our classifieds are free and anyone registered here is welcome to post an ad.
    Be aware that there are unscrupulous folks out there. Avoid any interaction that seems odd to you or �feels� wrong. Inquiries from unknown buyers, buyers �agents� and other non-traditional approaches should be treated with extreme caution.

    Beware of unsolicited contacts offering to put you in touch with someone else who is buying or selling via e-mail or text.

    Do not post your e-mail address or phone number in a classifieds ad.

    Hints that you may be dealing with a Scammer:
    • Seller or Buyer approaches you via a direct email or PM and then steers you to an off-site communication method (text or email).
    • No posts or very few forum posts.
    • Recent forum membership
    • Insists on conducting negotiations via email or text rather than PM
    • Requires payment via Bank Transfer, BitCoin/CryptoCurrency, WesternUnion or other unsecured method.
    • Buyer or Seller suggests Paypal "Friends and Family" payment. Paypal is a good way to arrange payment but an invoice for goods and services should be used rather than "Friends and Family". "Friends and Family" avoids fees BUT there is no recourse if the transaction runs aground. Friends and Family is for gifts only. There is no protection for Friends and Family transactions, so never ever use it to buy something.
    • Declines to allow viewing the item before proceeding with the transaction.

1979 Nauticat 44, schooner version, 3 cabins. Asking price : 125.000 USD.
Has always been well-maintained and is well-documented.

Visible in the Caribbean from January to April. Exact location flexible, I am currently traveling on the boat (South to North). If not sold in April, we will continue our family trip back to France (mainland), so it will be visible in Azores or France.

1979 : built year
1981 : first time in the water
2001 : second owner
2012 : huge refit : rigging, sails, engine, fuel and water tanks, seats and beds, diesel generator
2025 : third owner (myself), bought for a one-year Atlantic loop with my family of 5. Survey, refit : electronics (NMEA Wifi for easy access from tablet and phone), autopilot maintenance, electricity (including lithium LiFePO4 batteries), energy production (730W solar panels + Aquair hydrogenerator), new cutlass bearing, etc.

Engine : Ford Lehman 120hp, 2715E, 1180h since rebuild (evolving)
Trans : Velvet

4 sails, 3 of which are furling sail (all but mizzen, on the front mast)
Rigging 2012, surveyed in 2025 and adjusted in 2025
All sails except mizzen are controlled from the cockpit
One huge Lewmar electric winch + 5 other winches

1000L fuel (2 stainless steel custom tanks)
650L polyester water tank, custom shape, perfect condition.

Generator : 9kW diesel generator (only 70 hours)
Alternator : 95A
Solar panels : 730W solar panels with 2 Victron MPPT (2025)
Batteries : 560Ah LiFePO4 batteries (2x280Ah), BMS, Bluetooth interface for domestic + 225Ah engine battery (2023) + 70Ah generator battery (2025) + 225Ah spare battery (2023)
Electronics : 2 Garmin 720S + all NMEA0183 and NMEA2000 to wifi
AIS transponder (2025)
Starlink Mini
Heating : Webasto (diesel)
Air con (not used for years so requires a refill)
Washing machine

Dinghy with hard bottom + 15hp Suzuki engine

Windlass Lofrans Tiger + 100m chain + 60lbs CQR + 3 extra anchors.

A real lot of spare parts (again, I am travelling with my family, so safety first).

I am flexible in terms of location and open to deliver the boat in Atlantic West, from Grenada to Canada.

We have chartered N-44s twice. Still my idea of the perfect boat. Wish I was in the market.

I agree. Safety, confort, and still quite good at sailing! Incredibly confortable night shifts in the pilot house and so many different spaces for the kids to play.
This one is a schooner (not a ketch), more seldom and allows for a clear space in the cockpit, and a clear deck.
 
Don’t forget the American Tug.
