    Interesting boats

In Washington if a boat is in Washington waters for any more than 60 days in a 365 day period starting from the first day of the vessel entering said waters must obtain a use permit. Having spent most of my life in Washington I know that there are people who live in the adjoining states that...

I was just reading a thread on Cruiser Forum about the use of super capacitors to replace batteries. there was also a link to a new battery chemistry.(https://www.slashgear.com/honda-reveals-fluoride-battery-breakthrough-for-next-gen-power-storage-06557121/ ) They both look like something that...

    Broker experiences?

Smitty477, I have dealt with this broker in the past, and will "not" go there again. My wife and I were interest in a vessel that they had at their dock, we had looked at it several times, and was impressed with it. We made an offer, it was excepted with conditions of survey and sea trial. This...

Proper attachment on end of chain.

I have the float and rode already made up. If things go wrong I just snap the rope to the change and let it go.

Proper attachment on end of chain.

If the depth is over 50 feet I'll attach the nylon rode to the chain.

Proper attachment on end of chain.

I have a large round float with a carabineer attached, that I can snap to the end of the chain when I have to release it, so that I'll be able to find it again.

    TF Burgee

It is the rest of the world that calls the people of the USA "AMERICAN'S" that is just the way it is. If this country had a one word name that is what we would be called. I agree with you that all people that live in the western hemisphere are Americans.

    Dog relief while underway

There are several companies that advertise Turf pads that can be mounted on the fore deck. Most of these can be equipped with over-board drains or catch pans. They are just a simple framework box with some artificial turf inside.

    I need help!

I think you should break out a feeler gauge and find out for sure what the gap is before you start breaking out the boat bucks, the bearing just might be in spe.

    Sounded fishy to me.

I think that the "old Boat works" no longer exists. Here in Rapid City SD none of the marine repair places will even look at a boat that is over 30 years old. I guess that they have the expertise to work on equipment that they can't find how to replace on a computer.
