    Starlink Gen 3 Mounting options

We also just completed a Seaview Starlink mount using their new, low profile, wedge mount painted with Alex Seal to match our hull color. Starboard side - high performance antenna - almost disappears. Removed twin KVH TV5 domes (too small to fit either standard nor high performance antennas).

    Starlink Gen 3 Mounting options

Here is our Starlink installation on a Seaview anodized aluminum base painted to match the hull color. Hardly able to see it. We removed a KVH TV5 dome and twin dummy dome when Starlink was installed. Even though it was bought and paid for by previous owner, it was a bit hard to yank out a $18K...

    Seaward Water Heaters

Thanks. Torrid customers appear to be pretty happy. I guess I should feel lucky that we got 16 years out of our Seaward and that the leak was small and slow so we did not lose our entire fresh water supply on our last trip!

    Seaward Water Heaters

I found many sites still displaying Seaward water heaters, West Marine included, but none in stock. I did find one available but with a galvanized cover rather than stainless and I don't really want to risk rust ing. I called Whale in the UK and they said the only option is to order through a UK...

    Seaward Water Heaters

We have a 20 gallon Seaward water heater which is leaking. A bit of online research suggests this is common among aluminum tank design water heaters. Additionally, it appears Whale acquired Seaward and no longer has distributors in the US. Anyone else replace a Seaward and is happy with a new brand?

    50 versus 57

Nordhavn 50 versus 57 question James Knight, owner of Yacht Tech in Florida, has some good videos and commentary especially on the 57, which appears to be his favorite. Personally, I've always liked the 57.

    Hello

We are based in Southern California. We are thinking about a PNW trip, but the Covid-19 situation suggests it will probably not occur this year. We have Southern California friends shipping their boat from Florida to Roche Harbor this May. We'll now have a great a great excuse to spend a season...

    Grand Mariner needs Teak treatment

We have success using SEMCO on the teak decks. I've used natural and honey colors. In Southern California we treat twice a year. We use the 2 part cleaner and whitener first. Decks come out looking like new teak.

    Grand Mariner needs Teak treatment

We've tried many teak deck treatment but always come back to SEMCO, usually the Honey color version. It's easy to clean, beach if needed and apply, not sticky and looks good. Look seems to last longer than others. Used on 5 boats.

Simrad RS100 VHF black box radio

Simrad RS100 I had both an ICOM M604 and SIMRAD RS90 (older version of RS100) on my Queenship. I like having two VHF radios available. I liked both, but used the ICOM as the primary as its user interface was the easiest to use, especially for guests or infrequent users. We had a second Command...
