How to choose a listing agent - or sell myself?

Excellent disclosure. My GB 36 is 46 years old and in many respects is in great shape for her age. Engines, tanks, hull, electronics are all in great shape. Alas, time has taken its toll with some aspects (like some soft decks as you mention) and it's important to remember when shopping for a 46...

Where are all the used trawlers?

Thanks Shrew, some good insights here! You are correct that such a search can be widened quite a bit if you search for "Trawler" rather than, say, "Grand Banks 42", which is what I was doing. I was also focusing on 2000-2002 as that should be far enough back to match my budget (I say "should be"...

Where are all the used trawlers?

Appreciate the tip...Scott's a friend. He helped me purchase my 2001 GB42 Europa - Victoria - back in 2004. He doesn't have any Europa's for sale either.

Where are all the used trawlers?

At the risk of appearing naive or whining, I wanted to sincerely ask the following: where did all of the used trawlers disappear to? Searching, for example for a 2000 - 2010 42' Europa Grand Banks, YachtWorld shows zero! (I just did such a search 10 minutes ago) When I bought my 2001 GB 42'...

    Best 15hp outboard these days?

Hi..I have a GB Classic as well...wondering what type/size tender you carry aboard? I used to have an AVON 280 and I was HP-limited to 9 HP. Can you fit a larger RIB (say 320) aboard your GB? Thanks!

    Grand Banks Windows

Hi and thanks. I know Oceanic and Skip well (Bought my GB from them 20 years ago) and have taken my GB several times to Anderson (Now KKMI) yard next door. I’ll try Bayside but am hoping to find a GB specialist that I might have missed ;-)

    Grand Banks Windows

Recommendation for Expert GB Work in N. California This all sounds a bit ambitious for me and my 1978 GB Classic. I'd like to find a expert GB repair facility or yard in northern California to do this kind of work, including topsides painting. Maybe a west coast equivalent of Oxford Yacht's...

TZtouch3 Now Offers "NavNet Command Center" Capability & Improved Fish Finder Auto Ga

Thanks for the news! It's not yet posted on the FurunoForum where a lot of Furuno folks hang out. As an owner of a newish (less than 2 years old) TZTouch2 system I hope they will make this avail to us as well. I fear that they have - Apple style - moved on to the next generation leaving us...

    Replaced fuel tanks

Looks like a great job indeed! I did the same for my 1978 GB36 Tigress, and used American as well. Question: how did you dispose of the 55 gals of old fuel they left on your cockpit deck? I, too, have a large drum of old, watery fuel sitting in my cockpit, and can't seem to find anyone in my...

Stbd Engine Hard to Start, Dies at Idle

Thanks to all for help. Turn out it was injection pump sticking due to low/old lube oil. Once changed out, she starts right up and idles nicely.

Stbd Engine Hard to Start, Dies at Idle

Marin, thanks for thoughtful suggestions. I am still using old stock elements for my Racor 900s...I do realize there is an adaptor necessary to properly use the new elements. As far as i can tell, I am doing the filter replacement to spec - at least the way I have always done it! This engine...

Stbd Engine Hard to Start, Dies at Idle

Apologize if this topic was recently covered, but I did a quick scan and didn't see this specific problem. The Starboard Lehman 120 (1978) is very hard to start after secondary Racor filter change and bowl clean out, requiring mid-3/4 throttle to catch. I did the normal priming at the injection...
