Huh? I used Navionics on my iPad the other day to create a route. Worked fine.

I’m not that familiar with series 92 engines, but I have a friend with 8v71 engines and he learned to do in frame rebuilds himself. He’s not a diesel guru, just a dedicated owner. Although it sounds like these engines are way beyond a simple overhaul / resleeve job.

Any issues with the 1000 watt power draw? That would blow my entire boat circuit.

Not to hijack the thread, but I have a trailer custom fit for a Nimble Wanderer. Sold my Nimble but the buyer didn’t need the trailer. All rebuilt with new hubs, brakes, surge coupler, and wiring / lights. Never in water since the rebuild. PM me if interested.

Look for a Nimble Wanderer, 29’, no permit needed. I happen to have a custom made trailer for that model for sale.

I use the iPad / Navionics, but run a small inverter to give it 120 volts. I find on open flybridge boats it works fine, but in an enclosed pilot house it has trouble keeping the gps position. I’ve seen Samsung units running navionics that do not have that problem.
