    Rear-View Mirrors

I had mirrors on both sides of my Ranger tug attached to the railings. Look on Amazon or similar places for UTV mirrors. They clamp on, are made of plastic, and with a little ingenuity can be made to fit on any size railing. I ended up having them inside the railings instead of as shown in...

What does it mean to be a boater?

That's great boat thinking! Unfortunately, in order to get the couch through the door on the boat, it would have to be cut into small pieces, which would make the matter moot. But cutting the couch into small pieces does have a certain appeal.

What does it mean to be a boater?

Actually I got a deal on the batteries! I replaced with the same batteries that have been in the boat for the last 6 years, Lifeline AGM 8D. Great batteries and no worries about venting or maintenance. Why would I want to risk my boat...and its very expensive electronic systems.

What does it mean to be a boater?

What does it mean to be a boater? I just had to replace four 8D Lifeline batteries in my boat. Total cost, $4000 for the batteries, plus a little less than $1000 for the youngsters to drag the old ones out and put the new ones in. This old guy does not mess with 160-pound batteries in...

    Cruising the French canals

    Cruising the French canals

5 of us did the Canal du Midi last May. We started in Castelnaudry and ended up in Port Cassafieres on the Med coast. We rented from Le Boat. The boat was ok, but tired. I would recommend that if you are going to do the Canal Du Midi, early season is a great time to do it. We didn't have...

    390 advertised, but 350 HIN?

For inquiring minds...made an offer and it wasn't accepted. The search continues! Not too many Mainships here in the PNW. Maybe I'll get one on the east coast, do the loop again, and then ship it home. Thanks again for the help. Chris

    390 advertised, but 350 HIN?

Thanks for the quick replies. Pretty much what I had figured out. It doesn't have any of the 390 changes, but still a nice looking boat. Thanks, Chris

    390 advertised, but 350 HIN?

Hi folks, Looking at an advertised "390" but checking the Hull Indentification Number it looks like it's a 350 instead. Thought I'd double check with the group. The HIN product number is MPT35078 and it was built in March of 98. It also doesn't have the Samson Post or the single beds in the...
