    Swim Deck

Completing "Operation Swim Deck Rebuild" for Mainship 40 DC. A little concern with being slippery but teak trim really dresses her up. Thoughts on teak oil vs. Sickens?

    HELP! Dipstick fell into transmission

The dipstick TUBE should be removable at the base. You will obviously have oil coming out, but should be able to get the dipper if it hasn't gone all the way into sump pan.

    Epoxy vs Polyurethane

Am about to start picking away at some of the stress cracks and vacant screw holes from over the years on our 33 year old Mainship. Having been mostly a woody guy, I am looking for advice on which resin to use and these "new glass boats". ha. Epoxy or Polyurethane? Repairs will get proper...

    AC Issue??

Our Mainship 40 has two relatively new AC units installed under cabinets in the main parler and under the forward berth (not in bilge is the point). After Running both AC units for a couple days in relatively humid conditions, the carpet on a couple small floor hatches in the aft cabin became...

New Trawler Pepes - Upper Miss

They say that we all ultimately end up in a trawler and we have just reinforced that theory. We have boated the Upper Mississippi for many years and have just purchased our 1985 Mainship 40 DC. While working out the bugs of a 33 year old craft, we are loving the layout and features that only a...
