For those concerned about the exposed circuit board... I took the thruster apart to see what was in there and if there is an easy way to reverse directions. Doesn't appear to be a simple solution to me. I reversed the two connections circled in my original post/photo and nothing changed...

Just thought I would provide an update. Turned out to be the "PCU". Suncoast Diesel replaced the PCU and all seems fine. Unfortunately this was a $4,600 repair... Boat is a 2020 and of course was just beyond the warranty period.

I have installed a new solenoid and swapped port to starboard. All wires and connections (that I can see/trace) appear fine/new. Two stations/helms and both act the same.

Thanks - I was wondering about the ATF change too... I used DEXRON-VI Automatic Transmission Fluid. Most reading i have done on the ZF transmission suggests DEXRON II or III, but I assumed DEXRON-VI meets (or exceeds) the lower/older ratings?
