I may be in need of a delivery captain to move a boat from Homestead, FL to Cocoa,Fl. Any advice, I would like to ride along and learn how to operate the boat.
i'm looking at a boat south of Miami and plan on bringing her north through Miami. Does the ICW run directly through Miami or around the port of Miami?
Just curious how effective they are. I have one on each engine and thinking about connecting them to an automatic pump. If they are quite easy to use I may just forget this project.
I will be on the ICW this summer from NY to South Georgia. Should be in The Chesapeake in early July and traveling south until November. My insurance company has asked for a plan if a named storm is announced. My question is what do I tell the insurance company and what can I do if this happens.
Documentation or registration
Thanks for the information on documentation. I hadn't planed on registering the boat in Florida, only paying the sales tax. I would prefer to pay the sales tax when the boat arrives in Florida which may take 6 months. What do I carry on the boat in the mean time...
OK, I will be bringing a boat into the states in New York. I will have to pay my import tax when I clear customs. I want to document the boat before leaving NY headed to Florida. What kind of documentation do I need to carry if this process takes so long?
Any idea if all the Twainese trawlers have the same hydraulic steering and what the layout looks like? I would like to install an autopilot on a President 37.
In the spring I will be bringing a boat from Lake Ontario to Georgia. I have been looking over some of the waterway guides and it appears to me that quite a few marinas want a check or cash for their transient docks. Am I correct or just looked at the wrong marinas?
Is the video still the visitor center? My son and his wife both work for Boeing, we will be out there in the middle of May. If we have the time I would like to see it.
