Let me know how your fuel tank (s) solution goes. I currently don’t have a fuel guage, other than a yard stick!

Just saying, we have a CAT 3208, 210hp, single engine in our 1977 Thompson 44’ Trawler. 1500 RPM puts us at about 7.5 knots. Not sure how much slower you could want to go. Napa has most Air/ Oil and fuel filters. 2200 hours on current and it just hums along.

While at all times paying attention to product biogradeable properties. Goes w/out saying I assume but haven’t checked out gojo yet.

Keep looking. We found a 1977 Thompson Trawler. We saw it on a rainy day here in Florida. No window leaks and only one small spot indicating where water may have gotten in once but no rot anywhere. Only one foot sized soft spot in the port side deck as well.

Keep us informed. We plan to head across, East to West in mid-April. With work vacation time limited we will need to know if we have to put the boat up in a Marina till it rains. Only a 46” draft but... thanks for sharing
