i have water coming. i get some white smoke but not much at idle

I have a 1988 Cummins 6BTA engine that gets up to 200 degrees very quickly, even at idle. I changed thermostat to 160 degree and changed impeller. Still runs hot. While trying to diagnose issue, what is next likely issue?

Heavy traffic. Flybridge walkway.

Prior core was balsa. Went soft from total neglect from previous owner. Bimini wasn't waterproof, windows unzipped for 2 years and obviously there is intrusion somewhere but hard to find when entire deck is soggy. Open to other cores just hard to find.

I am repairing a soft flybridge and i am having trouble finding corecell sheets locally ( in Virginia) . Anyone have any experience with an easily sourced foam sheet that is compatible with epoxy resin for filling the voids? Btw, my core is 1 inch thick. TIA

Thanks everyone For the prompt replys. Thermostat getting delivered tomorrow and we will see how it goes. Paid extra for the 160 degree vs the oem. Some say its wasting money but i figured a couple bucks for a little extra protection was worth it.
