Had an Albin for 6 years before the Willard.
Would like to downsize back to the Albin but it’s a lot of trouble.
Try to find a boat that has been repowered. Especially since many old Albins have sea water cooled Volvos. Diesel furnace would be a plus too.

Those are great boats although starting to become quite rare. We had two over the years, one with the 3 cylinder/36HP Volvo (forget the model) and one with a 3 cylinder/27HP repowered Yanmar. Both ran well, although the Volvo gave a much higher top speed, which was also linked to a later model hull tweak.
I see many of them now with hardtops extended over the entire cockpit; our last one had that and it was a very welcome addition. If it is well done, which ours was.
