Anyone else have a PWC or two to go along with the big boat? One of our slip neighbors (and a close friend) rents an extra slip adjacent to his boat to keep a rather substantial, and always changing, collection of small boats including two or three "Dolphin Fun Boats", a 300 HP Sea Doo PWC, and an inflatable boat. He's a great guy and is always letting people (including me and my guests) use the small vessels. He also lets others keep our "skiffs" (the local term for dinghy) tied up in the slip (it's a huge L-shaped slip with room for at least a dozen small boats) whenever we want. We all call the slip "Riff Raff Row". Anyway, last Summer, he bought some drive-on floating PWC docks (that also work great for small RIBs) and encouraged us to get a couple of them and a PWC or two to put in the slip.
We found an exceptional deal on a pair of used PWCs and a trailer in October and bought them. We will be getting a pair of drive-on floating docks for them in the Spring and are looking forward to using them from the marina and trailering them to lakes and such. Just curious if anyone else has some.
One thing I was not expecting when we moved into a marina two years ago was how many opportunities there would be for group "skiff" excursions. At our end of the marina, just about everyone has a skiff and we have some great times going out on group excursions through the miles and miles of narrow and twisty estuaries that surround our bay.
