So far so good. New Thruster installed. No leaks!

We also installed new drip-less shaft seals on each drive shaft.

Next is carpentry and stainless work for an awning and gangway.

I'm getting anxious to get the boat back to the bay area. But its looking more and more like we will be wintering in San Diego.

You will enjoy the thruster. SD isn’t a bad place to winter, enjoy.

Bligh,
I thought you had a Nordic Tug. 2 engines? No factory thruster?

We still have that boat, soon to be for sale. This is on our new to us cheoy lee!

Looking at boats on the hard I was always concerned about the bow thruster tube being a potential source of water intrusion or complete failure. Until I owned one and noted how robust the tube was and how nice it is to have.

If my boat ever sinks due to bow thruster failure I guess I would say, "It's been a good run"

Love my thruster. With twin screws and a thruster you can make the boat go sideways.

Certainly not the worst thing I ever heard of. I've lived and boated here since 1996 and hope to never leave!
