Just wandering if anyone has a favorite fix for sticky zippers on your canvas that doesn't leave an oily mess. Thanks

After trying the commercial zipper waxes we switched to beeswax. Cheaper and not very messy. I keep a stick of it in the helm refrigerator and run it down the zippers a few times per year.

I've rubbed candle wax on and it helps.
Bar soap can also work.

Zipper Lube

We use spray silicon, recommended by the canvas guy who did our boat

Doesn't leave a residue, quick and east with the straw,

A ring under toilet seal from home cheapo is great soft bees wax and only a dollar or two.

My OCD canvas friend says wash with fresh water only. Any lubrications will attract dirt and compound the problem over the long haul. Everyone has an opinion :)
