I have a (new) transducer that is compatible with my sounder (DSM300). Problem is, the transducer doesn't have a connector. I do have a pigtail with the right connector.

My question ----- Can I connect the pigtail to the transducer ----- color for color and expect it to work?

Thanks

Terry

Yes you can splice it with a junction box. I did mine in our current boat because the connector would not go through the chase which is pretty full. Airmar makes most, if not all, of Raymarine transducers. I googled something like how to splice Airmar transducers and found the box. I think it cost about $50, maybe. But it worked fine. I will look and see if I can find it again. If I do I will post it.

I found it easily with “ how to splice airmar transducer cable”.

This is the junction box I used.

Junction Box Kit
for Replacement Speed/Temperature Insert Models: B44V, B66VL, B744V, B744VC, B744VL, B744VLC

This may or may not fit yours but it is a start.
