Raritan crown head reservoir

Hi everyone,
I finally repiared my raritan crown head by buying a new impellar and pump assembly. My question is simple. What do real trawler owners use for the raritan resrvoir. I hear some folks dont use it at all. What about just diluted bleach?

John, I had Crowns, used them for 10 years but never used the tank or put anything in it. I think it's for liquid cleaner (?) Peggie Hall would know.

As an aside, I have 2 lightly-used Crown motor/ pump assemblies if you ever have a need. They were used 2 summers, and then I converted to Raritan SeaEra fresh water flush toilets.
