I have a Nimble Wanderer and I am looking to Borrow/Rent/Buy a trailer to get around the locks in the Illinois River this September.

Tom Neale's review of the Nimble Wanderer indicates a dry weight of 8,800 lbs. That probably means close to 9,500 lbs with fuel, water, and gear. It will probably take a tri axle trailer to handle that kind of weight and especially the length. It will weigh about 2,000 lbs if aluminum, and 2,500 lbs if steel.

So a minimum tow weight of about 12,000 lbs. Do you have the kind of tow vehicle it will take to tow it? Probably a full 1 ton pickup, probably with duals.
