Has anyone used the Hose Coil fixture for a wash down connection to attach a hose?

I inherited the Jabsco on the previous boat, and it was difficult to get the male piece to seat properly within the female fitting.

I want to use plastic, or SS. Any other fitting recommendations?

Image attached showing both.

I have the Jabsco turn and push fittings shown in your pdf for my anchor washdown, having used them for maybe 5 years and I like them. But you are right, they take considerable force to lock them together. As in, I have to get down on my knees and push hard, especially the last 1/4 turn or so. Still, I'd recommend them.

I have one of the bulkhead fittings but it is installed in the deck. Works fine but it is hard to turn. I put a bit of silicone grease on the hose end fitting and that made it a bit easier to lock in.

I see two different systems. I have used the 6620512 version, no issues. i have not used the other system.
