Where is the dip stick located on the westerbeke generator. I have looked and looked and I’m sure it is in plain sight but I cannot find it .. thanks for you help

You did not post which model, but for your size boat it is probably an 8kw or 12kw. Find the oil filter which is sort of under and behind the injection pump. Dipstick is below and sort of behind that. Steel ring loop with a rubber seal that goes into the side of the block.

That would sure help ...

Openning up typical TT "bathtub"

Our 30 yr, old Taiwan-built trawler has what I think is a typical TT tub/shower unit installed. I've been using this for 25 years as a shower, never a tub (except for soaking lines in.) I read that one of our TF followers "opened" up his high walled tub (about two feet high) for ease of access and to avoid taking off layers of skin climbing into this thing. I'm ready to do this.

Can someone tell me what's inside the "tub wall void" (wood filler, nothing)? What shape did you make the cut? How much depth did you leave in the remaining shower-only drain space?
And most important, how did you finish off the cut to make it look more or less professional?

Pictures would be most helpful. Thanks in advance...

starboard side of the motor to the rear of the fuel pump . it's likely tucked behind a hose or the electric lift pump
