Hello from Scotland

The friendliest place on the web for anyone who enjoys boating.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
The deepest pit, apart from the holes is 6mm.
The hull below the waterline is 8mm.

I am building a new rudder, this one is past being salvageable.

Great project Manny. Keep us updated.

Another Scottish descent person here, on both sides of my family. My mother grew up in the Paisley/Glasgow area. She came to the US on a ship 60 years ago by herself, and not much in her pocket. She still has her accent.

To get to the steel on the inside, I had to rip out the fish hold.
The horizontal joints have a rolled edge and overlap.
This is the starboard side. I know of two holes holes on this side. The other hole is in the fuel tank.

I live in Paisley!

Manny, do the women in Scotland get arrested for taking up-kilt pictures?

It depends on a couple of things.
Does Mrs OldDan want to come to bonnie Scotland to look for Nessie up a fellas kilt?
Or
Do you want lassies taking pictures up yer kilt?

No MRS.
My dragon is very very old and hiding, just like the real Nessie.
Maybe I should hold my kilt up so they can concentrate on a close up.

First time on this thread. Welcome (belated) to the forum Manny!
Wow, you have bitten off what looks to me like a BIG project. I wish you luck and will follow along when not out on the water.
My first wife's family was from Paisley. Last name of Taylor. My 2nd (and only other) wife's family hails from Dunfermline. Seems I have a weakness for Scottish lassies :)
Again, good luck on your boat and may you actually get time to cruise on her.

I'm Irish, but then of course the Scots are just Irish that couldn't swim!

Now that's funny. And how many fights has that statement caused?

None, so far, in the twenty odd years I've been saying it!

Of course I've never said it in Scotland! :)

And don't say, "Scotland is a nice part of England."
