Ft Myers to Beaumont

Two of us are headed to Beaumont from Ft Myers the end of the month. Anyone going that direction is welcome to tag up.

Looking for information on marinas from Tarpon Springs to Apalachicola / Panama City.

We have heard Sun Harbor does not have docks rebuilt yet, and will confirm today.

If we do the rim it maybe pretty hit and miss with shoaling and marks gone.

If anyone has come that way recently we would appreciate your thoughts.

How are you planning to enter Apalachicola? Do you know if Government Cut is passable with a 4-foot draft?

Not familiar with the area, but potentially buying a boat where I see I might potentially pass through there. (about 60% chance I won't)

Is the main risk current, shifting bottom, breakers, or general shallow depth? Is the bottom mostly sand?

Tempted, but not crazy either.

We usually hit the main pass.

The cut is narrow, moves a lot of water, and can be shallow. Last time it had a 90 sideways turn inside the cut. Channel was 40' wide. But it was dead calm, so I could see.

Main pass is very wide.
