For those living aboard in colder climates these heaters are ideal.I lived with the antarctic version for 15 winters in NYC .

Coldest was -17F , the unit was working full bore , but it was still T shirt inside , although colder outside would have required more heat. Usually NYC is 25F night 35F days

These have a larger top surface so crock pot cooking while you're gone is fine.

Underway , a low just on flame would keep water just below the boil, hot choc ready.

The maint is close to zero (3-5 min every few months), no parts or fixes were required .

My job required my absence 2-3 days a week , no problem., as long as the gravity feed fuel supply was large enough.

Almost 17,000BTU will heat a modest 35 -40 ft boat ,for most winters.
