Great experience last week...

Called up American Diesel to ask about a few odds and ends, and started getting into whether or not our engine mounts are causing issues with vibration at idle.

Brian asks if my flex plates had ever been changed, dunno - I do know the transmissions were changed, but no idea when. I would hope the flex plates were changed at the same time.
Brian - well, what was the previous owner's name?

Two minutes later, he told me every part that the PO ordered through them, filling in a huge gap in the maintenance history!
Amazing. Turns out the flex plates were changed with the transmission, so I know that's not a problem!

Count yourself lucky if you have Lehmans, cuz you can't get much better support than that.

It's always good to hear about a company that cares about customer service.

Btw, are you living aboard in Constitution for the winter or still at Charlestown marina?

Nah I stayed in Charlestown.
Had a little ice on the water over here this morning.

Brian helped me get new gauges for my Marine Trader. Awesome customer service. So nice to finally deal with a company who is so nice and helpful.

Nice. I'm at Marina Bay for the winter. The heated water lines are on. They had mentioned that there were water bubblers but I dont see any evidence of that yet. We have a little bit of ice too.

Yeah, at our marina they only drop them in if we need them: once it starts to get real icy and doesn't clear up during the day. By us that only seems to happen if it goes below zero for a few nights in a row.
