New Build N37

Got an email from GH that they have a contract on a new build N37.... Maybe we can get some info on this and follow along...

Always liked the product, met the sales team at Trawler fest, left me....unimpressed...now other concerns..

Just getting into all of this stuff, researching heavily and learning lots including reading threads like the one just closed.

Checked out the N37, but had some questions linger:
- Why would anyone care about fridge maintenance savings AND be able to drop half a mil on a boat? It's kind of a strange selling point.
- The TT35 design is literally a trailer park home on water. This raises many other questions about its maker.

It should make getting replacement parts a whole lot easier, whatever the cost.

Or just replace the whole G.E. refrigerator from a retailer that would be available in about any port, domestic or foreign; and not spend your cruising time awaiting a part for a sub zero or Vitrifgo and a tech that can fix it. Even if you spend millions on a boat, you can’t buy lost time back.

Took quite a bit to convince my wife of this during our build last year.

Because the fridges are much better in the first place. They're huge, they're cheap, reliable, they draw less power, and have nice features like ice and water on the door. Plus you can replace it anywhere in the US or overseas in under a day.



I'm not really sure what you mean by the second part? It's a small, light boat with simple systems.

Don't get too overzealous. Our "not huge", no water attachments, no de-Icer, 12/110 V Nova Kool more than meets our needs. Just like different boats work just fine, so do different plotters, engines and fridges.

We are fortunate though to be cruising in the PNW. One section of our bilge is perfect cool storage for fruits and vegetables. Even beer, wine and drinks benefit from our cold storage bilge. A solar panel in reverse!

Not everyone chooses to enjoy FL and warm bilges.

Am I the only one here who finds it strange that a boat builder considers selling a boat to be news?

The meaning of “news” has become somewhat blurred lately.
