Nice shot. I grew up (until I was seven) in the shadow of Mt. Tamalpias. It, Muir Woods, and Stinson Beach were my playgrounds.

Holy smokes, Mark. *That indeed is a fire in the sky. *We had some pretty weird weather here in Key Biscayne at sunset that had downtown workers rushing to the windows to get photos of. *Here in Key Biscayne, I took these photos only about 10 minutes apart, one looking east over our house where a wisp of a rainbow appeared when the sun cracked though a heavy cloud cover in the west. *A few minutes later, the sun dove below the horizon, and I shot this looking west. *Last three nights have been cold.

Fantastic photo's guys, maybe we could put up a TF photo page. Say, landscape only , no people(except for the occasional feet), max one line of text just describing where, when & time taken.

Just a thought.

All of these are somewhere on the CA Delta...

This photo was taken on Mildred Island on the same trip as my avatar photo.

My friend and I were out in our dinghies with the Admirals as the sun began to set.* I had been teasing him all week because he hadn't had a chance to wash his boat before our week on the water and I had mine waxed.* When we looked back at the boats, this is what we saw...

img_70935_1_d6ae39f23a6bf1a05375d8c103aae273.jpg

Of course, I had to rib him about how he should have waxed his boat!* From the dinghies, we couldn't figure out why his boat was so gray while mine glowed red.* When we got back to the boats, we found that there was a single, solitary bush or tree on the levee casting a shadow across his boat!* 20 feet left or right, he would have been in the light!

My My winter view in Yuma, AZ:

Not taken on the boat, but fire in the sky it is. It was the beginning of a thunderstorm in Memphis last spring

OK, I am a little color challenged.

This Sunset Image was taken late Summer returning to our Slip in Toms River NJ.

The sky lit up so bright I had to grab my camera.

That's a great shot, Eric. I would think it would be a very difficult place to leave once one was there and established. Sure looks like it beats Seattle.....
