By way of introduction:

I'm Bob DeGroot. My wife Kemba and I cruised the Great Loop for three years aboard our DeFever 49 CPMY; completing in 2011. We set it up with cell and wifi booster antennas so we could continue to operate our business while cruising.

We now have an Albin 28 Tournament Express for cruising the miles of canals and dozens of islands here in subtropical climate of SW Florida.

Next year, we'll be selling the Albin and getting a larger boat (again), to live aboard while we travel to location to write mystery novels (dime-novels). Doesn't that sound like fun? I'm attending writers conferences to learn how to write fiction.

Welcome aboard. Love to read any fiction that is set around boating. Start writing soon.

Welcome Bob, I believe you have been an MTOA member for a while?

Welcome aboard! Maybe you could write a fiction about a murder with an anchor, but what would be the best anchor for that crime? Did the victim cruise with single or dual engine? A lot of mysteries to solve :D

One website / blog I read for info on writing is "Mad Genius Club" .
Mostly for writers and by writers.
Welcome aboard. JohnS

We plan to write a lot of the psycho-thriller, urban fantasy, supernatural, and similar style elements into the novels. My wife is a cardiovascular nurse specialist (retired), so we can bring the medical component into the books as well.

I have seven books on the Amazon Top 100 Best Sellers lists, one for 18 months now. So, we've got a head start. And, I've written one book, "Trance Formed Body" that uses dialog. Learned how to write a screen play to learn how to write dialog. Go figure.

You too can go to mysteryfestkeywest.com to learn how to write mysteries, meet some of your favorite authors, and be awestruck. Oh yeah, did I mention it was in Key West. The next one is on Sanibel Island.

Okay, more than you wanted to know, but we're excited.

The Mad Genius Club looks like fun.
Thanks,
Bob

Wifey B: I figured the hypnotherapy had to come in somewhere. Maybe I'll write a book about a wicked, evil, but very hot and interesting girl hypnotist who crosses over to the dark side and uses it in inappropriate ways. I'm sure such thoughts would never cross the mind of a professional like yourself.

On a more serious basis, I like seeing a counselor with Hypnotherapy skills as I think hypnotism scares some people excessively when it can be very effectively used in so many ways from helping athletes with performance anxiety to weight and smoking issues to just helping people manage their lives a little better. :)
