Shrew, thanks for the info. My newly acquired 98 Mainship had a jammed rear slider. You would have to pick it up with two hands to open or close it. I followed your instructions to the letter and found exact replacements at Ace along with new weather striping. It now works better then my house slider. Great forum information.
