Dauntless Bay Area Arrival Escort

M/V Dauntless has been cruising the world for the past several years up and down the USA east coast before his first Atlantic crossing from Nova Scotia to the Azores, Ireland, the Baltic region, Morocco, across the pond again to the Caribbean, through the Panama Canal, up the west coast of Mexico and finally back into the USA cruising up the California coast.

Richard (Wxx3) on Dauntless with the goal of arriving under the Golden Gate at approximately 1300 on Sunday, July 1. He will continue through the San Francisco and San Pablo Bays to Mare Island Strait and the Vallejo Muni Marina for a stay of several months.

I plan to escort Richard the final couple miles up the Mare Island Strait and thought others here might also enjoy the experience of escorting Dauntless through our home waters on his arrival. If you're interested in participating, post below with the segment you'd like to escort.

I met Richard when he came in last spring. We stayed 4 days on FW in the slip, checking out the area. We had a great time. I've still got the wine he bought and didn't drink chilled for his arrival.

His crazy exceeds mine...but not by much. I think you're right...just the right amount of crazy. He's a doer!

His updates are intermittent as best on In Reach. I found him on vessel finder. AIS based. The updates there are intermittent as well. Right now his about half way between Vera Cruz and San Francisco. Give him a good welcome! I wish I could be there with you. Tell him I said hi and wish I could be with you all.
