Ah, took a minute, but yes, they're there!

This shot was taken by the crew of another Great Harbor at a quiet anchorage in South Carolina on our trip up to New Bern, NC this spring. I love the mirror effect.

Beautiful shot Richard - and a beautiful boat!

Blue Sky at Cordero Lodge in Cordero Channel

Lol. We came into that dock in Cordero “Hot” at about 4 kts and it was all tide! Stuck to the dock like glue! That blue dock paint was on the hull until next spring.

Ha! The first time we docked there we thought it was a snap; must have been around slack I suppose. After that I was always glad we had thrusters.

I really miss Lorrie and Wayne; they ran a fun operation there.

Nice :thumb:

I’ve heard Burnaby Narrows has about the highest density of life, or variety of life per square inch on Earth...is that so?

Also, does the tide meet in the middle or it a bit of a wild ride?

From the BC Parks website regarding Burnaby Narrows;
Quantitative studies conducted in 1992 and 1993 determined that this area contained some of the highest levels of living material (called ‘biomass’) of any intertidal zone in the world.

Murray: we took the dingy through at slack, but not Phoenix Hunter. There’s a lot of tide, to be sure. We took the mooring buoy and it worked well. The intertidal was phenomenal that’s for sure, and yes, it’s reputed to have he densest “protein per square meter” in the world. The biologist in me wondered about the veracity of that assertion, but it’s impressive all the same.

You should go across and experience it for yourself. Badger will make the trip just fine. Just make sure you have sufficient fuel as the closest fuel is Sandspit. Just to wet your whistle...

Off Williams Cay Exuma last year. I also cropped it so that it fit above the counter in the salon. Worked well.

On my i-pad I took this pic at Langley on the so end of Whidby Is. WA. WE enjoyed staying there. Great places to eat. We ate breakfast at a big cafe that had a old style tin (literally) pressed (raised) patterend ceiling. Nice places to walk too. Tight moorage.

Badger with big brother, Hawk Bay, a converted 50' commercial fishing boat...it's amazing how much more material goes into a 50' boat, compared to a 30' boat!

The Hawk needs a blue stripe like Badger.

Badger needs no stinkin' flybridge. Too many boats look like shrunken and compressed cruise ships, being almost as tall as long. Waters too wild here to be comfortable high above waterline.

First two are top notch :thumb:

Was Nick along for the ride, or did he just happen to be there while the storm was backdropping your boat? I like how he didn't use too heavy a hand in post processing.
