Just caught the new Nova program on The Search for the Super Battery. I know there are experts out there, but for laymen like myself, it is very informative on the why’s and how’s of the latest energy storage research, including recent data on chemical/material, dynamic, and flow battery storage tech. The program should be playing on your PBS station all week.
 
Thanks for the recommendation! I just finished watching the entire episode. Found it at pbs.com then entered title in the search bar. Couldn't be easier. Fascinating report on new (and old) technologies for storing energy. For consumer electronics and mobile applications, like boats! I was impressed by the non-flammable li-ion wafer.
