Bringing the Sea Star home...Take 2.

The friendliest place on the web for anyone who enjoys boating.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
We made it to Panama City. All tied up and got the boat washed/rinsed down. Now we are getting cleaned up and are going to head out on foot to food and bar hope.
It is just a beautiful day.

Nice! Living the dream! Food and drink pics are always welcome :):)

I think job number one for you is to put a galley on that boat - as you don't seem to have e one! :)

Lol! Have you ever scrambled eggs in a microwave?

We are at our third restaurant. We’ve had a couple of different kinds of oysters. We’ve had shrimp. We’ve had fish dip. Some of these restaurants only have beer and wine. David and I are not used to that living in south Louisiana. Lol

Oh the white guy on the left in that picture is the 3rd best oyster shucker in the country.

So my friend just called me from my house. The squirrel is now in my bedroom! Her plan is to take the screen off our bedroom window and then open the window. Maybe the squirrel will go out!

So I wonder...

Where is the squirrel crapping?

Or maybe the squirrel will invite some friends over "Hey, just found this great house, there`s a cat to play with, everything...."

We need to get these restaurants named so we can go there too. Where were the pictures taken of the shucker?

That was at Hunts oyster bar. Pretty popular place based on the number of people outside waiting for tables. We just sat at the bar.
We started out at the captains table. Then we went to the barefoot bar and grill. We don’t recommend them. Then it was Hunts. From there we went to the watershed bar and played pool, darts, and ping pong.
The highlight of the night? Our Uber driver. He was absolutely crazy. I’ve never laughed so hard. David just kept saying...we’re going to die. I just know we are going to die.
Great night.
Not sure how far we’re going to go tomorrow. Either orange beach or home port.

Good news...the squirrel is out of our house. It went out the window of our bedroom. It was hiding up in our curtains and Cat was hiding under our bed. I think we averted a disaster!
This was the best picture she could get.

She said the poor thing was crying and scared.
I have to remember this is likely the same squirrel that was literally eating our gutter and staring at me defiantly while doing so. Hmph.

I’m wondering if the Cat was afraid of the squirrel or the squirrel afraid of the Cat! They’re surely not friends.

Keep an eye on that bartender, I'm pretty sure that's not bud light!

Are you running inside or the gulf today?

Yes. From Panama City to Pensacola. We are in the gulf now. It’s a little choppy. We’ll go ICW from Pensacola to homeport. At least that’s the current plan. And then home tomorrow.

It’s definitely not as smooth a ride today as it was yesterday or even Sunday crossing the gulf. But it’s not bad. We’re cruising 22-23knots burning an OBSCENE amount of fuel.
But it’s another beautiful day.

We are at Rosemary Beach, you must have past by not long ago. We left Gumbo at Palafox Marina for the week.
Bon voyage

Have you guys made it in yet?

Bon voyage

How did you get there? What are your plans?

We are at Homeport Marina. Stopped at fuel Dick and filled up and then got all tied up in our slip. Gave the boat a good rinse down and then went to grab a bite at Lulu’s. We knew it was busy but had no idea it would be THAT busy. There was a 3.5 hour wait for a table. There were 232 reservations ahead of us!
We managed to snag 4 seats at the bar and ate there.

Everybody is tired and have already turned in. It was a long day and will be an even longer one tomorrow. We are going all the way home tomorrow. You know how people will put babies in the car and take them for a ride to get them to sleep? Well, that’s me on the boat! We start cruising and there’s the hum of the engines and the sounds of the water and I’m OUT. So I had a nice long nap again today so I’m not tired now.

Here are a few pictures of the day.

Pretty strong front heading thru in the wee hours and into the morning. Hold tight.

Stormy Tuesday night ahead for LA to FL.

You need to be very careful with those fuel dicks! :)

Just pulled up wind and sea conditions in Mobile Bay.... Gonna be some rock and rollin' in that beam sea. From Mobile to Gulfport winds due N 18-25kts. Careful out there!
