Might be nothing to you but interesting to someone else.* Naming boats are a big deal to most people.* The proper naming is what is being discussed here.* If you don't like the thread, just don't click on it.* Purdy darned simple if you ask me.

It used to be that your "port of record" HAD to be a place where you had a mailing address. So, if you documented your boat 16 years ago the port would often be where the owner lived which could be many miles from where the boat moored. Apparently the rules have been relaxed some since then.
