Hi everybody, I'm new to this forum and soon to be retired and looking to get a Prairie 29 trawler, My question is if installing a hard top made of solar panel on the flybridge will be too much wheight and damage the roof ?

They are top heavy now....you could get a long kinda narrow panel and mount it to the aft edge of the cabin top and it would also work as a sun shield .
 
I agree, the Prairie 29 is top heavy, I would not install a panel there unless you go for some of those flexible ones that are easy to remove (snaps).
