Running long term at 2,900 rpm if you are propped to reach a (phototached?) rpm of 3,500 rpm should be fine. If you do a little extrapolation of the prop curve up to 3,500 rpm then you are making about 120 hp each at 2,900 rpm.

But don't believe Yanmar's spec that you can run at 3,100 rpm continuously. That is marketing hype and is not realistic for decent life.
