I'm having trouble locating gaskets for the ports of my 1985 Marine Trader. Information or suggestions are appreciated.

Previous post from La Bomba regarding same question,

I recently bought seals, screens, knobs etc from Atkins and Hoyle. The sell seal by the foot in different sizes and a special adhesive as well.

I know a few people that have used clear vinyl tubing that fits the groove with good initial success.

But .....I think bronze ports get pretty hot in the sun so I wouldnt expect the tubing to have a long life. Never been around them long enough to hear long term successs.

But in a pinch or if willing to replace it every other year or so, might be worth a shot. I might try it next go around as even the gaskets I got last time were pretty dang expensive and tend ti stick if not opened every couple weeks.
