I have a 1985 Chris Craft Catalina 42. It has a full sized 63" x 28" refrigerator that I want to remove. It seems that it is somehow secured in the opening. Does anyone know the best way to remove this unit? Thanks

Ours is full size tightly in a built in. We recently had to move it to replace the ice maker water hose.
It had a wood piece across the top which was removed by taking out four screws, and then by removing the kick plate at the bottom we saw it was held in place at the bottom by two screws downwards into the wood frame.

I suspect you have something similar. Take a good flashlight to it.

My Norcold has screws on each side that are covered by plastic molding that pries off.

I have a double door that's secured w/lag bolts thru the original feet positions.

Our Norcold has a flange with screws securing the unit but just know that the foam insulation in some refrigerators expands with age. It's all I can do to wiggle the thing out of it's hole when it's in place due to the expansion of the case over the years.
