Is there a company out there that makes* "off the shelf" swim platforms? What I mean by that is ,a company that you can order a replacement for a particular year and type of trawler without having it having to be custom made. Being down here I would have to have one shipped to me. Im getting ready to put the MISS on the hard before I head to the Rio Dulce and Im collecting all the pieces for the bottom job. I would like to put the under water lights on her as well. I told my Wife they are to attract fish but I think they just look very cool. Any one have an opinion on any brand? I was leaning towards the platform mounted ones just because I hate putting more holes in her bottom. Thanks BB

Not that I know of and I spent considerable time looking for one.*

Since I had to have a custom made, I really shopped. Prices in San Diego ranged from $3.9K-$9.5K mounted. The yard that did my work bought one (to my template) in Wilksbarre, PA and it is beautiful! (Mounted price $4K and they would not tell me what they paid.)
You might try these guys:* Butler Marine Systems - Catalog

Hello BB. I am new to the forum & have read your request with interest. Not sure if it's of help but I purchased a Marine Trader 39 in 2009 & the swimming platform was in need of repair. I approached a specialist Fibre Glass manufacturer in the Costa del Sol Spain, & between us we designed a GRP platform.

Unfortunately I haven,t worked out how to download pictures to the forum as yet, but have a look at my website www.tripsailor.com/Carlina & some pictures on there show you what we acheived. Incidently anybody able to help with how I can download pictures. Sorry a bit new to this computer lark.
