I have a Cummins qsb 5.9 425 hp single engine.
Normally the oil psi is 51-52. I'm on an overnight trip and noticed yesterday the oil psi was 66. No alarms or error indicators. Last changed oil and filter last fall at layup. Boat ran fine but is this something I should worry about and look into? I have a 4 he return trip today.
Thanks.

The oil pressure sender will usually simply vary the resistance to change a gauge reading.

Start with the grounds and check for corrosion in the wiring.

Engine oil pressure is set with a spring , so is very reliable.
