If there is power at the switch, but no power at the nav light fixture, it seems you are down to a few choices:
1. Find the wire run, no matter what it takes.
2. Run new wires.
3. Install new nav. light fixture, maybe one with integral battery?
...... just a thought, 'though, is there a fuse or breaker past the switch?
