Hi fellow TFers!
Yesterday I replaced all my anodes (or better said dissolved missing anodes).
My shaft anode shows some sign of corrosion but I guess it can still offer some protection. Instead of replacing it, I added another shaft anode on the shaft.
Do you see any issue doing this (so having 2 shaft anodes around 4 inches between each other)?

That is fine, extra zincs so all the zincs have a longer life.

I suppose creates a little more friction with the spinning shaft and the water.

depends what you boat is made from,
wood - you can over anode as well as under anode.
Steel - same thing
GRP - not so critical but knowledge of how and which anodes erode is important.
Its a black art, not my field - a good electrical guy will help.
