Salon chairs

I'm looking for a source for salon seating.

The only seating we currently have in our salon is a couch. We have a table and chairs in the galley.
We have this large piece of furniture that is sort of like a sideboard that we have the tv sitting on top of. It takes up a lot of room but provides needed extra storage. But we are considering taking it out of the boat and putting a comfy chair in its place. It would have to be on the small side though..not like some big recliner.
I would also then have to get a smaller tv and find someplace to hang it since that was the only surface we had to put the tv on.

If any of you would like to share pictures of what your salon setup is, I'd love to see!

Benchmaster makes lots of smaller swivel recliners that will fit on a boat. These are the "Stressless" style chairs. You can have your choice of fabrics and a separate foot stool or one the swings out from under the chair itself. We got the latter model to save space. We've got the same opportunity for loose furniture in the salon. We currently have two tatty rattan 'high chairs' for use at the bar-height counter facing the galley, one awful, cheap, dirty easy chair and a low Teak coffee table. The original 'L'-shaped settee remains but the vertically telescoping table that formed a berth with the settee is gone.

We, too, could use a replacement easy chair, or preferably two if the things had no arms.

You might Google "zero clearance recliners" and find a small recliner that will serve well ar two jobs.

Add RV to the front or end of the search to find smaller stronger units..

We went over to the Lazyboy store with our measurements, sat in a bazillion models, picked electric rocker/recliners that work.

In-person shopping turned out to be an important step, 'cause sometimes the seat depths turned out to be uncomfortable for wifey.

"Zero clearance" often actually means "a little less clearance" is required. We can fully recline these rascals, as for sleeping even, but need to pull them out from the bulkhead a bit more to do that.

The electric adjustment is infinite, compared to the manual models. OTOH, electric adjustment needs AC power (we accelerated our inverter installation project) or some creative wiring (and maybe voltage regulation) to use straight DC.

+1 for Benchmaster - I think they are comfortable and a good value.
We have added the optional "riser" to raise the seating ht about 1"-1.5" and puts a wood ring on the floor instead of the plastic swivel ring.

Discount Leather Chairs almost always has benchmaster on sale - if not inquire when they will be. Bob Wheelan has been very helpful - we've bought 3 of these from them and like them.

We have a Stressless chain and foot rest in our salon. Have had it for years. Very good quality. Very comfortable. Small footprint.
