wiper motor

These things seem to be pretty generic. No name on mine, either.

One of mine had failed to run. I took it out, home, and disassembled it. The motor was fine. The wiper shaft was corroded and would not turn. I took the transmission apart and tapped the shaft out, cleaned it, lubricated it. All is well.

Lots of online sources for these things; Google 'Windshield wiper parts'. I'll need to buy a new arm; I destroyed the zinc diecast arm mount because it refused to come off. Generic.

The below is what my 34T uses. They may have used something from the same vendor for the Pilot.

Anyone know what the name of the wiper motor on a 2005 34 Mainship Pilot ?

Inquiring minds want to know, what happened to your wiper motor?

I found out that, like electronics, if you let the smoke out, they stop working. So I have one new one, two old ones. They don't last forever

Got mine from Wholesale Marine.
AFI 1000 Waterproof Wiper Motor w/ 2.5" Shaft - 80 Degree Sweep AFI-37180 $172.12

The windshield wiper is very nice to have, but they sure seem to burn out often.

I put Ongaros on my three pilot house windshields. Nine years and lots of salt spray and no problems.
