Hi my name is Alex. I've been reading forums on this site for months and finally realized that it would make sense to join. I'm a proud owner of a 1999 Mainship 350/390 called Heather Alyssa which I picked up October 2016. After some winter maintenance on the hard, I'm currently outfitting her with all that I can think of since I plan to be a "commuter cruiser" (I think that's what it's called) and spend several weekends and weekdays on her through out the spring, summer and fall. Right now I'm a sponge and gathering all the information that I can even after a year and a half of reading Nigel Calder maintenance and Diesel engine books, Captain Fatty Goodlander anchoring techniques, rules of the road, the boat galley cookbook, passagemaker magazine plus about 15 other books and every web article I can get ahold of. Even after all that, and a few days out on the water with Heather Alyssa, there's so much to learn. I look forward to the advise from fellow Trawler owners and look forward to paying it forward to others who follow.

Alex

Welcome to the forum! Congratulations on the new boat. I summer across the Bay from you in Crisfield, MD.

Ted

Thank you Ted. I'm looking forward to checking out Crisfield this Summer!

I'm nearby in Calvert Marina at C9, just in front of Washburn's building. If there's anything I can do to help or if you'd just like to chat sometime, let me know. I'm there at some point most weekends when the weather is agreeable (>60-deg F). PM me or reach out however is convenient for you.

Good luck with whatever you do! Greg.

Hi Greg. I'm at Spring Cove. A25 when she's back in the water. For now I can be found at the yard working on the boat and prepping for spring. I'm looking forward to anything around 60 deg. For now... I'm hearing snow is in the forecast this week. Anyway, Thank you for welcoming me to the group.

Welcome, we are hauled in Solomon's as well (technically lusby) on the hard at Washburn's. It's the shink wrapped mainship 34 current rudder and shoeless.

Hi Gdavid. I'm a fellow Lusbian as well. Thank you for the welcome!

Hi Alex. Welcome. We are up in Stevensville MD. We get to Solomons at least several times in the summer. Great concerts there. Hope to see you out on the Bay!

Thank you Legend. My slip is close to the Calvert Marina. I try to go to as many concerts there as I can, but this year will be my first with a "Second home" right around the corner. That just means docktails before and after the show!

Perfect!
