Boudin / Morcilla?

That would be the famous Scottish delicacy - haggis!

Looks more like a blood sausage than haggis. [emoji848]
Home made? Or locally sourced? It's high demand time with Burns Night Dinners usually around the end of January.
I like mine with HP sauce and a glass of Glemorangie on the side.

Looking again at the pic it might be my iPad changing the light of the photo to make it appear darker like a blood sausage. [emoji849]. It's hard to get good haggis in USA.

I hope you did it up right like these guys:

Maybe a better pic post eating,

TBH, I liked your cake much better, but I'm glad you liked your haggis. :hide:

Hi Piou.
Never herring. [emoji476] Too oily. Usually cod or whiting. Nowadays almost any cold water white meat fish. Pollock is common now too.
Herring is smoked in Scotland and served as kippers.
I miss that.

Chips used to be "a Glasgow salad" :) But I think things have moved on, despite seeing haggis served at breakfast.

Oxymoron?

Is goods haggis an oxymoron?::angel:

No, it's just so rare to find a good one, only three people in the USA have ever had one. [emoji12]
