Diagnostic scan tools

I'm wondering what type if any type of scan tools guys are using for Cummins and/or Volvo diesels. I'm looking at an AE for my power stroke and hoping I can get one that will cover both areas.(marine and auto)

Lots of this crowd are mechanical engine users, at best "scan tool" means a multimeter...

Your AE will not do it. I wish. We use TEXA. The whole set up with the laptop will only set you back about 12 grand.
