Welcome aboard. Good luck with your search!

If you mean a Monk 36, go for a sea trial before you write the cheque. They bob around like corks and are rarely seen out in seas 3' and up.

Welcome aboard. Monks are good boats. Lots of others to look at also, though, so take your time, read what other people have to say on the Trawler Forum, and remember the Golden Rule of looking for a boat: Take your time. The right boat will come along.

With boats of this size range, be sure to board as many as you can to be sure you are comfortable with the layout. You will find the layouts quite different from boat to boat in the same size range.

Hi Bill our 38ft 1998 Trader will be available in June, after we finish the loop and Bahamas. See our blog auskiwiloop.blogspot.com, cheers Colin

Welcome. You're at a great stage of life - more boating!

Depending on your budget, Defever 44, 49, and 50 are hard to beat. We owned a 44 for several years and now have a 50. Great boats and lots of bang for the buck.
