Beneteau ST-44
Hi,
I'm a new owner of a 2012 ST-44. I bought her in Vancouver BC in April and played in the San Juans for the summer and just brought her home to Pt. Richmond on SF Bay. All was fine on the trip down except we discovered that sea water was seeping into the bilge from the Rudder Shaft Seals. Anyone ever heard of that? Trying to get someone from Beneteau to talk to is not easy (except for Ward the parts guy is great).
Happy to find this forum and really enjoying reading.

Dallas I will PM you a contact at
Beneteau. Yes Ward is awesome!

Leaking shaft seals are pretty common. You may be able to just tighten them or you may need to repack them. Either way not a big deal, usually.

If you post a picture, I'm sure the folks here can give you more detailed information.

Dallas -

I had the same issue on my ST 44.
Loosened the set screw and took a 1/8 of a turn with channel locks - problem solved!!!!

Good luck.
