Here is where I elected to run the remote vacuum gauge for my main engine two Racor filters.

Rich,
Can you post a picture of the Raycor filter location? The gauge looks good.

On another subject, are your generator and engine start batteries located on the port side near, outward of the sea strainer? I have seen the batteries located in a couple different locations.
Thanks.

OK. You can see the two (only one when I bought the boat) Racors mounted on an aluminum plate screwed into the stringer under the port fuel tank and the two-valve manifold which allows selection or either or both Racor outputs. The tap off for the remote reading vacuum gauge is in the fuel line between the manifold and the engine-mounted fuel filter. I run 2-micron elements in the Racors.

Since I removed the ZF Micro Commander control box and its dedicated but dead battery from aft of the port fuel tank, there is nothing there but storage for all my spare coolant and lubricants and other fluids in a plastic crate.

You can see a hint of the two original red-topped Odyssey AGM start batteries in their original (at least original to me in June when I bought the boat) under the black plastic deck grating under the engine compartment access door and the yellow-topped Optima AGM batteries for the new house bank I created to starboard. This location helps offset the inherent port list, moves weight forward (a good thing), and saves a lot on new cabling to connect the new house bank.

It was a busy summer and early fall....
