Hello,
After other smaller and older boats I have purchased a 79 Mainship 34. East coast Canadian, will be used primarily on freshwater rivers and lakes with the occasional passage to the Bay of Fundy. The boat is basically unmolested and as such has no major upgrades and has only minor maintenance with exception of an engine rebuild approx 500 hrs ago. There is a new 3 burner propane stove but other than that it is like stepping back in time. Going to be doing upgrades and repairs as required. The major upcoming work I plan on is cabin top, wiring clean up and a man cabin revamp. Lots of good info here so far, lots of good ideas. Looking forward to learning from everyones experiences.
